OxyELITE Powder [Super Thermogenic] Review – By Nathan Meola

Thermongenics, Hydroxy-citric Acid, Green tea, Green coffee, Bitter orange, African mango, Guarana, Carnitine, CLA. It’s a telling sign that most people who read this will be familiar with some if not all of these buzz words and ingredients. Fat burners and weight loss supplements are continuing to gain in popularity as we become more and more concerned with our weight and the way we look. It’s all anyone can talk about lately and it seems as though new magic pills are being discovered on a weekly basis, but do any of them actually work?

The majority of traditional fat burners rely heavily on stimulants such as caffeine to slightly raise your body temperature and increase metabolism in order to help your body to burn more fat throughout the day. The theory is sound, but after taking the recommended dosage you can sometimes feel more wired than Richard Simmons winning the lottery, and doing something as simple as walking to the fridge can leave you in a pool of sweat.

OxyELITE powder is a new product developed by USPlabs that claims to approach fat loss in an entirely new way, targeting “trouble spots” of subcutaneous fat (covering your muscles) rather than indiscriminately burning all types of fat including visceral fat (covering and protecting your organs). I’ve tried many different fat loss supplements and wonder ingredients over the years but have never found anything as effective as a clean diet and plenty of exercise.

My curiosity got the better of me and I decided to put my scepticism aside and try the product. It comes in 2 flavours, I chose watermelon knowing from past experience not to expect too much taste-wise and for the most part I was right. As with a lot of sports supplement powders, it tastes like the “flavour” was chosen after the product was developed. A one gram serving mixed with a glass of water produces a surprisingly potent taste that reminded me more of sour sherbert than watermelon. I suggest you use a shaker because it doesn’t dissolve particularly well when mixed with a spoon. For the most part, the taste is bearable, although I wasn’t too impressed with the grainy texture.

I started off by taking one serve in the morning on an empty stomach. The first thing I noticed was… nothing. Based on my past experiences with fat burners I was expecting, well… something. No tingling sensations, no increased heartrate, no eye-widening alertness, no excessive sweating, no dizziness. I felt absolutely normal and I wasn’t sure if I was happy about that or not. Part of me wanted to be cart-wheeling to work and moon-walking to the gym to the rhythm of my furiously beating heart. On the other hand, I realised that these feelings were exactly what most people complained about when taking fat burners. I decided to start taking two doses daily, reminding myself that just because you can feel it, it doesn’t mean that it’s working (and vice versa).

After two weeks I started to notice small differences, mainly in my shoulders and arms. Slightly more definition and muscle visibility, as well as more noticeable veins while working out.  The changes were only slight, but definitely noticeable as I stared at my reflection in the sunglasses of passerby’s. In any case, the results were already better than I have seen from any fat burner I’ve used in the past. By week four I was getting comments from friends and family asking if I’d lost weight, which is always an encouraging sign. Another surprise was that I continued to see improvements in the weeks after I stopped taking the product.

Taking two doses daily, the product will last 4 weeks and it is comparatively priced with other fat burners on the market. When using OxyELITE I felt none of the negative side effects of some stimulant based fat burners, and I was able to see changes within 2 weeks. If you are following a nutrition and exercise plan and have hit a plateau, or if you have tried everything and can’t seem to lose the final 2 or 3 kilos of fat, I would definitely urge you to try this new thermogenic for yourself.
