Commonly known as the PURPLEBERRY , Acai berries (pronounced as-sigh-ee) grow deep within the Amazon rainforest of Brazil. The palm tree on which the berries grow (Euterpe oleracea) has long been named by locals the TREE OF LIFE .
For decades, Acai has been the staple diet of the local people due to its remarkable nutritional benefits. Scientific assessments have found Acai to have a unique balance of essential fatty acids (Omega 3, 6, 9), plant sterols, polyphenols, fibre, vitamins, minerals and ONE OF THE HIGHEST CONCENTRATIONS OF ANTIOXIDANTS FOUND IN ANY FOOD .
